Archmage Lorcan the Violet, master of illusion and eldest member of the chroma council of archmages. He held the title of Violet archmage twice.

His son was the former Violet archmage, having inherited it from him thirty years prior. The Young elf was killed by Diona the white witch, causing Lorcan to need to step back into the role he had retired from. Combined, he's been an archmage for 72 years, separated by six years his son held the title. His remaining children are grown and he doesn't know the locations of the three remaining. He holds a close friendship with the Indigo Archmage, having seen many years of service with her and considering her kin. He oversees the wetlands to the north closest to the border Chroma shares with Elvai the Elven Kingdom.

Despite his wisdom he's known for being pessimistic and sharp. Ever one to sit back and let things unfold before acting himself. They say prior to his sons death, he was charismatic and outgoing, lover of literature and the theater.
